Dialogue:Enrique & Lourdes

Quote#1:
"I don't love you as if you were my mother. I love my grandmother"
"I gave birth to you"
"That's not my fault!"

Significance:
I think that this is a rude thing to say of Enrique. Enrique went through all that trouble, and when he finally gets re-united with his mom, he likes to purposely get her mad. He thinks it hilarious. Lourdes and Enrique get into a discussion which kinda turns into fighting physically. Enrique should really look back to all his trouble and all the trouble his mom went through just to get where she is and all Enrique does is mis-treat her. But Enrique does realize what he has said and feels bad and cry's. The next day he apologized but that really doesn't take back what he said. Later on he changes everything he trys to fix everything he has destroyed and he wishes the scars from the beatings on the train will go away, so when he brings Maria Isabel they could get married.

Connection:
I have gotten into arguments with my parents, but they are small. The arguments aren't really this serious where I tell my mother who if it wasn't for her I wouldn't be here and I never have gotten into physical fighting. I don't think I ever will either, it will be kind of hard to loose that much respect for you parents. But Enrique hasn't seen his mother in years, so its like growing all over again. If I ever do get into such a big argument I will feel truly guilty of saying that to my mother who has giving so much to me.


Question:
Will you ever yell at your mom and tell her it isnt YOUR fault that you were born or Will you ever get into physical fighting if you were really mad ?

Qoute:"Hija te vinistes. Daughter, you're here." Lourdes and Belky's shoulder shake with each sob. They hold each other tight. Enrique stands. He embraces both of them-all three are together in a hug. He tells his sister she looks beautiful. Lourdes briefly turns to me."I never expected this. I never expected this. I never expected this, Sonia" Lourdes says, with tears of joy. Lourdes turns back to Belky. "I love you so much. My daughter!"

Significance: I think that this quote really significances how miracles can happen. What I got from this quote is that they went to a show and "Don Francisco" re-united his family. All of Lourdes children's were together in one room. Lourdes was the happiest person ever, when she saw all her children together. I think that even though the story ended, but the later on is still going on. I think i have heard of that show, its a really nice show my watches it sometimes, it re-unites family's together that haven't seen each other in a long time because of immigration problems.


Connection:
I think its awesome how all the family is together now. But Belky left a forty-four year old baby back at Honduras, I know she is going back but her baby is small and needs her. I cant connect to this quote, I have never really been re-united with a family member that I haven't seen in a while. But I do have a cousin that was really close to me, and I miss him a lot. He will be with me in about two or three years but when I see him I am going to be very happy.

Would you want your family re-union to be in T.V all over the world ?
