Question&Ansewer 3 !

NAME:Vanessa DATE: Feb 8
TITLE:Sweet Sixteen HOURS: 2hr 45min
AUTHOR:Kate Brian PAGES 194- the end.
TOTAL PAGES THIS WEEK: 65 pages

QUESTION 1:
What do you think is the theme (author’s message) in this book?
RESPONSE 1:

The theme for this book I think is too appreciate what you have. Later in the book it goes to Teagan past and she sees how nice, friendly and loving she was to others. She went back to when she was six years old and she saw her mom again and she realized what her mom wanted her to be. Teagan realized she was the total opposite and she wanted to change that but according to the ghost she was "dead". She also went to the future and she saw her lonely and lame life. She went to her own funeral and there was no one there but her dad step mom and a girl, known as her sister. Her sister didn't really care she died so she wanted to leave the funeral very bad. Teagan realized that the only way to not end up like she was suppose to, she had to change the present, the only way to do that she had to be alive again. When the ghost told her she had a second chance when she was alive she said sorry to her dad and did stuff that clearly were sacrifices for her, everyone noticed how she changed.she gave all her presents away. She missed her party to go to her old friends party, Emily. Teagan in the beggining of the book mentioned how she didn't want to start their frindship because she didn't go to Rosewood Prep. Teagan did alot more,I really think that the message was to appreciate everything you have now, because one day it will all go away, in a matter of seconds.

QUESTION 2:How did what you read today make you feel? Why?

RESPONSE 2:

What I read today made me very sentimental. It made me realize of how lucky I am and how I sometimes don't appreciate my surroundings. In the book Teagen tripped and hit her head very hard and had a "knock-out". She didn't know that, and she thought she was dead. A ghost came and took her on a passage since when she was six till she dies. When she was "traveling" to the different places Kate Brian described with all the details that their could be. They first went to her sixth birthday and her birthday party, when Teagan's mom was still alive. When Teagan saw her mom again, Kate Brian gave the best of the details their could ever be. Me as the reader felt exactly what Teagan was feeling. I felt different emotions as different chapters were going by I would definitely read more books by her. It makes me feel like I'm the character in the book. It makes me imagine and have fun with being other people in the book. But it just doesn't make you feel one emotion theirs many. It makes you feel sad, when you are reading the different memories of Teagan's childhood. It makes you feel happy, when Teagan describes her and Emily's memories. So, when I was reading I felt many different emotions.
