What lessons have you learned from this book so far? What themes, lessons, or examples will you take from this book and bring into your own life? Has it changed your perspective on issues at all? How so?

To Kill A Mockingbird is a very intersting book; it was kind of boring at first but as we got more and more into it, it was impressive how good it was. Its told in the perspective of a child and not an adult. The book although talks about rape & racism is very well explained. For me its inevitable that young kids at that time will hear about this and learn stuff from it. Scout has gone through alot at the young age she has. She is very adventorous and has many pursuits, thats why she finds whole lot of stuff.

I think a very good theme is to not judge someone for what they look like and how they act; until you know them. Theres been alot of examples of this through out the book. They didnt learn why Ms.Dubose was so cranky until they talked more and read to her inside her house. In the trial of Tom Robinson; Scout;Jem and Dill learnd that people dont see the truth but the apperance, it was abvious that Tom didnt rape nor beat Mayella, but its improvable a black men against a white men to win. Theres many hyprocritical people in the world but you have too learn to deal with them, as Scout is learning. I also learned to stick with what you believe; Scout has been through alot of different emotions but she still sustains her believes.

Would you say that Scout or Jem is becoming more like a girl ? & why ?
